#YearofMindfulness Day 11: Body Scan

I have found body scan recordings helpful in practicing mindfulness. I imagine something out of Star Wars, a laser that scans from the tips of my toes to the top of my head, checking in with every part: what sensations do I feel--a cold breeze, the pressure of my legs against a chair, the brush of my sweater against my arm, etc.?

Area for growth: I'm always surprised to discover the aches I feel when I stop to check in with my body. How can I not know until I pause to focus on my body that there's a big knot under my shoulder blade, or that my knee is sore?

Wins: I practiced mindfulness three times today!

Takeaway: It's important to pause throughout my day to check in with what is going on in my body. What are your favorite body scan recordings?
