#YearofMindfulness Day 19: Sleep
So . . . I fell asleep during my second mindfulness practice. I'm not sure whether that counts as a completed mindfulness practice? I mean, I was relaxed and focused . . . . And then, because of more nap/bedtime complications, I again fell asleep before my third mindfulness practice.
Area for growth: This time, however, I did wake up around 9 p.m. I thought I was going to immediately fall back asleep, but I didn't. I should have practiced mindfulness then.
Wins: I practiced mindfulness twice today (kind of)!
Takeaway: Practice mindfulness whenever I realize I missed it, even if that means delaying bedtime. It's worth it to corral my thoughts and relax myself (again). What do you tell yourself when circumstances seem to conspire to defeat you?
