#YearofMindfulness Day 2: Stop and Smell (the Roses)
What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment. Usually, we're either ruminating on the past or caught up in plans or worries for the future. Practicing mindfulness is pausing to notice the now: What do I see? What do I feel? What do I taste? What do I hear? What do I smell?
Wins: today, I paused for mindfulness three times: once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and before bed.
My takeaway for Day 2 is to stop and smell the roses--1) to stop: to take time away from planning and doing 2) to smell: to check in with my senses during this moment. What do you notice when you stop?
