#YearofMindfulness Day 58: Now

To maintain momentum and stabilize morale, I'm discovering that it's helpful to celebrate every win in the moment (e.g. "I just chose to practice mindfulness!" and "I just chose to practice mindfulness first!"). When I view my future stretching endlessly in front of me, it seems overwhelming to forever maintain a mindfulness practice. However, when I focus just on choosing to practice mindfulness this morning (or this afternoon, or this evening), strengthening this habit seems much more manageable.

Area for Growth: View mindfulness practice as a gift (to myself and to others).

Wins: I practiced mindfulness three times today!

Takeaway: Focus on the now. How do you keep yourself focused on the present?
