#YearofMindfulness Day 72: Breaks
Between a sick babysitter and a child who didn't nap, I had absolutely no down time today, and it was obvious to me: I felt frazzled. It didn't help that my routine unexpectedly shifted, thanks to the quarantine, so my husband and I spent the day in an intricate dance of alternating childcare and work calls. I didn't practice mindfulness in the morning or in the afternoon, because of the reasons above. I longed for the time to pause and recalibrate, but I didn't receive space for this until late at night, when I grabbed a short mindfulness practice session.
Area for Growth: Figure out how to thrive in the midst of chaos.
Wins: I practiced mindfulness today!
Takeaway: People need breaks. How do you ensure breaks when your support system evaporates?
